What is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC)?
As Registered Nurses we have in-depth knowledge of nursing practice and Standards of Care, with extensive experience in diverse areas of the healthcare system. We have also completed a rigorous CLNC certification course that has prepared us to provide a variety of supportive case services, which include but are not limited to: screenings, medical record reviews, research of authoritative literature and report opinions. We have the cost-effective expertise to quickly identify and interpret nursing and medical issues involving health, illness or injury. We are members of the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants, which offers us the networking, collaboration and supportive advantages needed for our attorney clients to save money and win cases.
My Experience
After working 13 years in the Senior Living and Assisted Living industry as an Executive Director, and with over 30 years of nursing experience, including 10 years as an Adult Nurse Practitioner serving primarily older adults, I decided to focus on the legal aspects concerning this population. Now, I can offer my extensive administrative and nursing experience, as well as draw from my nationwide network of other Certified Legal Nurse Consultants (CLNC) and expert witnesses to assist attorneys as they evaluate merit and litigate cases.
What I Offer
Providing quality nurse consulting services is my highest priority—identifying adherence or deviations from the Standards of Care, helping with discovery and preparing interrogatories, finding the significant information in complex medical records, or developing chronologies. Prior nursing career experience and CLNC training has afforded me an exacting eye for detail, and the ability to provide timely, accurate and thorough medical record reviews and summary reports. This will help us meet client deadlines and budgetary limits.
